Vehicle History:
Project Ecotec Monster made its debut November 2002 at the SEMA Show in
Las Vegas, Nevada. There was an overwhelming response from our sponsors
and consumers alike. So much so that we have been invited to bring
Project Ecotec Monster back to Las Vegas for SEMA 2003.
Shortly after SEMA Las Vegas, Ecotec Monster could be found in the pages
of the Feb/March '03 issue of Lowrider Euro Magazine. Since then, this
project has appeared in 12-Volt Street News March 2003, SEMA Fast Facts
March 31, 2003 and Restyling Magazine April, 2003. Additional magazine
articles are forthcoming. And, Project Ecotec Monster has been found on
several internet sites including, diald.com, gaugemagazine.com,
razzi.com, and stainlesssteelbrakes.com.
SEMA Spring Expo in Nashville, TN was held in February, 2003. This show
proved to be a very awarding trip for Trent's Trick Upholstery when
Trent VanArsdalen, President and Owner, took home GM's Best of Show.
After SSE in Nashville, Project Ecotec Monster was invited to join the
Chevrolet vehicles to be transported and displayed at the upcoming IAS
(International Auto Salon) in L.A. in late April. The "Monster" was
introduced to the media at Irwindale Speedway prior to being displayed
in the GM booth at IAS where, not unexpectedly, it was one of the most
talked about Cavaliers at the show!
Additionally, in 2003, Project Ecotec Monster received 2nd place at
Tuner Bash in Daytona, FL, 3rd place at Hot Import Nights and Street
Dreams Tour both held in Detroit, Mi and 3rd place at Sport Compact &
Truck Bash in Syracuse, NY. At Indy Truck Bash in Indianapolis, IN
August 15 & 16 the Project Ecotec Monster took 1st in class.
